Pitch perfect: 1800 Tequila Fall + Winter Cocktails

If you’re reading a magazine or blog and a cocktail recipe catches your eye, that means we’ve done our job. Why? Because we specialize in cocktail photography for public relations pitches.

We specialize in creating original recipes and styling cocktails on-set, meaning that we can offer full-service, start to finish pitch material. We recommend that we capture all cocktails with and without the bottle, as some features and publications allow for product placement, while others prefer a more unbranded look.

The following cocktail and bottle images were produced and captured by photographer Kyle Ford of FML for PR use by 1800 Tequila, with cocktail recipes and styling by Leanne Favre, and prop styling and set design by Karin Olsen. This particular shoot was executed virtually, with the client able to weigh in through FML Live (see how it works here).

For this shoot, we executed two types of photography: situational and white background/transparent. What’s the difference? Situational feature the cocktail in a curated setting; in this case we used clean, minimal styling and props to let the cocktails shine. White background/transparent photography is ideal for web features, as well as in applications requiring flexibility of placement; the transparent background allows the image to be fit in between text blocks, on packaging and more.
